The Cheshire East Creative and Digital Cluster are hosting this event on 22nd June 2017 at 6.30pm at Macclesfield Town Hall
As part of the SHIFT Digital Year of Making, the Weave Town Talks series programme of events are bringing high-profile sector leaders to the region, to stimulate debate and discourse on the creative and digital sector, and to raise the profile of these industries in Cheshire East. Hosted by Weave, the Creative and Digital Network, which champions the sector.
The presentations on the night will explore models of incubators, co-working spaces and Creative Industry accelerators through successful initiatives.
Weave host Volker Hirsch from Bluebeck introduces Steven Stopps co-founder of Arch Creative co-working space for freelancers (funded by Sega Hardware and Playground Games), and 26HT the Leamington Incubator for Games start-ups. Followed by Carl Taylor the restauranteur who led Oldham Council’s bid to secure the Telefonica backed Wayra accelerator for the town. A representative will present the Makerversity at Somerset House, London. It will explore models of incubators, co-working spaces and Creative Industry accelerators.
