The space is about:
Creating an exciting and engaging print space on the high street. The project will provide a space for people to try something new or build upon their existing skills in a welcoming and creative space.
There is a programme that includes drop in and ticketed creative workshops using simple silk screen printing methods, including monthly guest workshop leaders.
We are looking for local artists and crafts people to get in touch with examples of their work to be included in an opening exhibition and shop front of the space over the busy Christmas period and as part of our exciting opening!
We would like you to email:
Images of your work
An idea of potential stock available (it can be one off’s…)
Any links to your website
An idea of price ranges
Please email your expression of interest to Diana@thehamiltonproject.co.uk by Friday December 4th.
We will be charging a 20% commission on all sales. The space is operated as a not for profit space – with any income going back into the running and development of The Print Mill.
Make it Macclesfield who are responsible for this space – see this project as a clear step in the implementation of the heritage and culture strategy, illustrating how arts and culture can lead the regeneration of a town.
Overall aims and objectives of the project:
Creating a buzz – inspire creative use of empty units other than retail.
Improve general perception.
Create an identity for the area
Provide a creative and collaborative space that supports arts development and promotes participation. Provide a programme of activities that nurtures talent and promotes participation
