‘PARKROYAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL FAVOURITE DAYS OUT - PUPILS CREATE THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO A FUN-PACKED SUMMER

If you want to know how to entertain the kids over the summer it seems you only have to ask the children of Parkroyal Community School. Their words and pictures have been compiled into an inspirational new guidebook of things to see and do in Macclesfield and beyond.

Parents think they know what’s best for their children, but the children of Parkroyal Community School have ideas of their own and tell us what really makes them happy. In a creative bid to raise funds for the school, pupils have put together a 32-page book of activities and outings around Cheshire. Each entry in the guide has been personally road tested by a pupil and includes practical information such as directions and prices. But this is a guide with a differrence and, the children have  written themselves about why they love each venue, attraction or place. Unlike other guides, this one takes a totally truthful look at some of the best our region has to offer!

So be inspired by the children’s love of mountain biking in Delamere Forest, find out about kiteflying

at Tittesworth Reservoir or read about what it’s really like at the Legoland Discovery Centre.

Thanks to the generosity of local printers Sphere UK of Gunco Lane, all profits from the book, which is priced at £2.50, will go towards improving the school playground and to the planned celebrations for school’s centenary in 2013.This Edwardian School has been educating  the town's children since 1912. Were you a pupil at Parkroyal in years gone by? Perhaps you have old pictures of events at the school. If you’d like to share your memories the school would love to hear from you.

To get hold of your copy of the guide or to lend photographs of the shool in former years contact the school office on 01625 426 083.
