Local ‘business booth’ at Treacle

Treacle Market in Macclesfield  is a lively monthly market with a focus on high quality food and drink, crafts, Vintage antiques, and the unusual.

Co organiser Jane Munro told us. ‘We are often asked by local businesses if they can have a stall at Treacle but sometimes they are just not the right sort of stall to fit in with the rest of the Market.’

‘This frustrated us so we have decided to allocate one stall each month to a different type of local business to give them the opportunity to promote what they do to Treacle visitors. Think of it as a big three dimensional business card at the market. We are calling it the Business Booth.’

It might be a hairdresser or mortgage broker, importantly it needn’t  be the usual  sort of Treacle stall at all.

‘We are really keen that Treacle is beneficial to local businesses and not just the traders in the immediate vicinity of the stalls.’ adds Debbie Quinn.

‘We feel passionately that Macc is a town with with real character and quality independent businesses and we need to make sure our visitors know that. We really care about the future of our town centre and hate the idea of it becoming a soulless anonymous high street of chain stores.’

If your local independent business is interested in having the Business Booth at Treacle Market one month contact  jane@treaclemarket.co.uk  or debbie@treaclmarket.co.uk

The next Treacle Market is Sunday 25th March 10am-3.30pm
