Make it Macclesfield’s next Public Meeting to be held in the McIlroy Suite at the Moss Rose Stadium at 8am on Friday 20th May will provide attendees with an insight into a range of topics of importance to the future development of the Town.
The meeting will give Ask Real Estate, the developers appointed to undertake the proposed Churchill Way leisure-led complex, a first opportunity to share their vision for this important initiative.
The Town Centre changes and other developments in the area including the Poynton Relief Road, the Congleton by-pass and the proposed link road across the South Macclesfield Development Area, whilst improving the Town’s connections with its neighbours, have the potential to change traffic flows and exacerbate existing travel problems. Paul Griffiths, Cheshire East’s Strategic Delivery Manager for highways will review current plans for Macclesfield’s roads
Following the news that planning officers at Cheshire East have recommended that The King’s School planning application to move to a new site to the East of the town should be refused by Councillors at the Strategic Planning Committee to be held on Wednesday 18th May, the MIM meeting will be updated on the latest position.
After presentations on MIM’s new Enterprising Macclesfield initiative and the work of the East Cheshire Housing Consortium the meeting will close with a bang on a Barnaby theme.
